I had been in search for a long sleeve maxi dress for at least a year now, so the moment I tried this on, I knew I had finally found the one. The kind of dress you throw on on a Sunday and go have an adventure in (mine involved a good friend, brunch and the zoo).

I just love that feeling of winter sunshine. When, in the middle of the coldest months, you get one of those glorious days where the skies are blue and there is a feeling of warmth. Most of these items I have had in my wardrobe for years (and can't remember where I even got them from), so to be able to combine them in different ways still, makes me super excited.

I just stumbled upon these photos I took before I left for my holiday. And man, I forgot how much I loved this outfit. It kind of had a 70s vibe, but 70s work chic? I dunno, I feel like throwing the words 'work chic' after anything will always make a look, work appropriate ;)

People are definitely feeling the love at the moment. Everyone seems to be getting hitched, or at the very least, are in full planning mode. Which is great for me, because I adore a good wedding. This one was held on a overcast and windy Monday, however even the weather couldn't dampen the mood. When you are surrounded by happiness, it's hard not to feel the same.

I have always loved the power of clothing. The way it can make you feel confident, beautiful, happy, empowered. The way it can transform you. I feel like an outfit can change your whole day. For some, this may sound stupid. But for me, clothes are a form of self expression, and a powerful one at that.

This outfit right here, gave me the confidence to stand up for myself, to take control of a situation (well this, and watching Emma Watson speak so passionately about the UN's HeForShe campaign). And man did it feel good. So here's to the power of clothing, to those who design clothes, make clothes and to those who have inspired me with their clothing over the years.

Lately I have been feeling the need for change, and the first place I usually like to start is my wardrobe. Which means one thing: time to go shopping. The moment I saw this skirt I knew I had to buy it. Not only is it completely different from anything I already have, but it's the kind of piece that makes you feel like you could do some major butt kicking (of the office variety of course, trying to climb stairs in this skirt is hard enough!)

Birthdays are the best excuse to wear sequins. This post is a little late, but I had the greatest birthday. I was totally spoilt, and am just in awe of the people in my life. Mainly around the fact that I got this lucky to be able to share so many special moments with them.
