I just love that feeling of winter sunshine. When, in the middle of the coldest months, you get one of those glorious days where the skies are blue and there is a feeling of warmth. Most of these items I have had in my wardrobe for years (and can't remember where I even got them from), so to be able to combine them in different ways still, makes me super excited.

I just stumbled upon these photos I took before I left for my holiday. And man, I forgot how much I loved this outfit. It kind of had a 70s vibe, but 70s work chic? I dunno, I feel like throwing the words 'work chic' after anything will always make a look, work appropriate ;)

People are definitely feeling the love at the moment. Everyone seems to be getting hitched, or at the very least, are in full planning mode. Which is great for me, because I adore a good wedding. This one was held on a overcast and windy Monday, however even the weather couldn't dampen the mood. When you are surrounded by happiness, it's hard not to feel the same.

Lately I have been feeling the need for change, and the first place I usually like to start is my wardrobe. Which means one thing: time to go shopping. The moment I saw this skirt I knew I had to buy it. Not only is it completely different from anything I already have, but it's the kind of piece that makes you feel like you could do some major butt kicking (of the office variety of course, trying to climb stairs in this skirt is hard enough!)

When I read that the temperature was supposed to be 17 degrees in Canberra I thought it must have been a typo. And then when I realised it wasn't I started putting an outfit together immediately that didn't involve stockings. I love a good pair of stockings as much as the next person, but the thought of sun and blue skies and a temperature that won't give you hypothermia or frost bite? Heaven.
