.70s child.

I just stumbled upon these photos I took before I left for my holiday. And man, I forgot how much I loved this outfit. It kind of had a 70s vibe, but 70s work chic? I dunno, I feel like throwing the words 'work chic' after anything will always make a look, work appropriate ;)

.happy grey days.

Perfect Autumn weather, combined with it being a Friday and throw in the fact I only have 6 working days left before my next adventure? How can this not equate to excitement?

Contrary to all the grey I am wearing, I am in a fabulous mood and am super pumped for the weekend to begin!

.engagement party.

So Saturday was one of those days I wish I could revisit over and over again. Playing dress ups, sipping champagne, laughing with friends and taking a tonne of photos. It's such an honour to be asked to be in someone's bridal party, let alone their maid of honour. Take me back already!

I have always loved the power of clothing. The way it can make you feel confident, beautiful, happy, empowered. The way it can transform you. I feel like an outfit can change your whole day. For some, this may sound stupid. But for me, clothes are a form of self expression, and a powerful one at that.

This outfit right here, gave me the confidence to stand up for myself, to take control of a situation (well this, and watching Emma Watson speak so passionately about the UN's HeForShe campaign). And man did it feel good. So here's to the power of clothing, to those who design clothes, make clothes and to those who have inspired me with their clothing over the years.

.sparkle.

Birthdays are the best excuse to wear sequins. This post is a little late, but I had the greatest birthday. I was totally spoilt, and am just in awe of the people in my life. Mainly around the fact that I got this lucky to be able to share so many special moments with them.

.blooms.

I am so obsessed with crop tops and matching sets right now. Especially ones that involve floral prints and blooms. I wore this last weekend whilst strolling through the Beaufort Street Festival with friends. Just a heads up, if you ever get the chance to try Banoffee Pie ice cream? Definitely go for it.

.cloudy days.

Overcast spring days that feel a little like autumn, but are hot like summer, call for sweater/skirt/boot combinations. And start with me spending a solid 10 minutes staring at my wardrobe hoping for something to jump out and scream 'weeeeear meeee'. Thank gosh this outfit did.
