The Inca Trail. Hands down the greatest thing I have ever done. I can not even begin to describe how amazing it felt to see Machu Picchu for that first time after hiking for three days. My hair was a mess, I was wearing basically no makeup, I had not showered for days. My body was tired and I was exhausted. But none of that mattered. And I don't think I have ever been so truly happy and content in my life.

Lake Titicaca was an incredible place to visit. Sitting at the end of the dock, looking out over the water, a photo I had seen so many times before, was a surreal experience. As was jumping from the boat into the freezing cold waters. Breathtaking. On sooooo many levels!

The Amazon was another crazy experience. And for someone who has an inherent fear of spiders? It was a whole new ball game. But somehow I conquered my fears, even standing close enough to see a giant tarantula crawl from it's nest.

In looking back and posting these photos I feel like I get the chance to relive moments of my trip, but in a highlights reel. I'm hoping these photos inspire you just a fraction of the amount of what I felt actually being over there.

I got to first truly experience all the colours of Peru in Arequipa, the city is truly stunning. Watching the sunset in the Nazca desert was an experience I will never forget. Chivay and the Colca Canyon can be summarised by three things for me. Llamas, alpacas and the most incredible views of my life (though a mention of condors should probably be thrown in there). But seriously guys, LLAMAS AND ALPACAS. Right there. To snuggle with.

Holaaaa. I am back from adventuring in South and Central America for the last 5 weeks and miss it already! It was seriously the most amazing holiday of my life and I can not wait to share some of the photos with you. So first off: Lima and Paracas. Peru in general was the most incredible place I have ever visited, and every day was filled with something new and different. In Lima I explored the churches, museums and the coast, I tried ceviche, tasted Pisco, visited the Ballestas Islands and went sandboarding in Ica. I chose to do G Adventures tours for the whole of my holiday, and man I am glad I did. I met new people, made new friends. And best of all? Became part of a new family.
